I only have real conversations with people I don't know if they bring up a subject I'm well-versed on. Like the same guy in this comic, I could not for the life of me think of anything to say to him, but I've had extensive conversations on the subject of Serj Tankian's solo career... lul.

FFFF, I can't even do that. I've been burned too many times just randomly speaking up that I don't say anything. Only if it's a fannish conversation, like "omigod did you see CSI last night?" etc. Then I don't freak out as much and join in.
